Hello, Have you missed me? so look, the world cup’s been on, we’ve been making new video content for your viewing pleasure and I just didn’t get the time last week to put together our weekly round up, my sincerest apologies.

Speaking of world cups, ITS COMING HOME. *sigh*, No it’s really not and yes I’m gutted HOWEVER I’m nowhere near as gutted as these England fans who took the belief in our national team to the next level so much so that they actually got permanent tattoos celebrating England winning the world cup…  Check out the full report here!

“I will never, ever, ever get this tattoo removed.” – Mr Richardson, die hard England fan.

Are you going bald? It’s not nice for some people. Well, the guardian may have just posted the answer to your prayers… Scalp Micropigmentation, the idea of essentially tattooing the head using a special digital permanent make up machine equipped with a tiny needle to create tiny follicles in the scalp, essentially producing little dots to mimic the look of stubble. As I was browsing through Google looking for news articles to write about,  this caught my eye. It’s about a young Spanish woman who was rejected by the Spanish army because of tattoo she has on her foot. When she was taking part in a swimming test that was part of the exam, an examiner saw the tattoo on her foot and told her she could not continue because it could be visible when worn with a skirt despite women not being obliged to wear skirts… But do you know what makes it worse? The fact that the men alongside her also had tattoos on their arms, legs and even head and neck. They were not removed.
Why?
It almost doesn’t make sense does it.
I’m happy to see she’s fighting the ruling and I pray she’s allowed to rejoin and complete her training but sadly it seems that this is just one of many ongoing cases in Spain right now. Why can’t any concerns over a tattoo being slightly exposed be overruled by this girl’s obvious desire and passion to serve her country? I can’t believe I’m still reading articles like this in 2018.
Our best wishes go out to Estela.

“I felt terrible, at first I couldn’t believe it,” she says. “The reasons he was giving me seemed so absurd. I left utterly distraught, I was crying.” – Estela Martín
