I have sleeves on both my arms and on my right forearm I have a tribal design that I want to get covered up. It is the bulk of my forearm. Is it possible to get it covered up where you can’t see it or would it have to be incorporated into another design? I got it when I first started getting tattoos and my style has changed allot since then. Any advice would help. Thanks!

A photo would be useful to see if it is coverable. Your tattoo artist will be able to advise on a sensible path to take as from some cover ups I have seen that is over tribal they have never been great and can normally still see a portion or alot of the old tattoo.

This one is a little smaller probably than you are talking about, but take a look.

Here’s the after and you really can’t see it at all

I’m sure there are limits to what an artist can do, but don’t give up hope! Talk to someone, check out their portfolio and see what they can do!

Might want to consider some laser work to lighten up the tribal first. Then it’s pretty easy to get whatever you want there and you don’t have to worry so much about an actual cover up.

Thanks for the replies. I am going in on Saturday for some more work on my leg piece, so I’ll talk to my artist then to see what might be possible. Thanks.
