Um, how about Kim Gordon of Sonic Youth? and PJ Harvey? or Ani DiFranco? Darcy Wretzky of the Smashing Pumpkins?
All amazing women in alternative rock.

*edit, ops, just saw the alternative and not the rock….
how about Janis Joplin?

or Grace Slick of Jefferson Airplanes?

Jimmy Page, mainly cause he’s not only amazing on the electric, but also on the acoustic.
All 4 are awsome guitarist, but Clapton kinnda sticks out cause he can sometimes do some really cool blues.
Why no David Gilmour?

I’m pretty sure you do have it in Cal, cept I think the California equivalent of it is spelled KRaq. I’m not sure though. It’s K Roc here in New York.
