Much much worse. You have to break through the callus on the palm. Then you are literally tattooing on an epidermal layer that has never been touched because it has been covered by the callus since you were a baby.

A guy I know has the head of his dick tattooed, said the palm was much worse.

I got over 5 hours done on my forearm in 1 sitting, wasn’t bad. Not until it got close to the ditch.

You need to remember that everyone’s pain tolerance is different, and some people may find the forearm to be next to nothing, others may find it horrible.

you don’t want to wrap your tattoo in anything. If you wrap your leg in plastic, your leg will sweat, and thus cause moisture to get trapped in there. So you are essentially soaking your tattoo, which is a terrible idea.

Leave your tattoo alone, no moisturizers, or lotions, let it heal naturally with air.

Here’s another pic of the healing process. Healing quite well, just the full black has scabs left, the rest is pretty good. Just really dry and peeling skin.

I still haven’t taken a picture outside, but tomorrow I will. You can also kinda see the outline of the woman’s arm.

That depends. If dirty tools / accessories were used, you could have an infection and not even know. But for the most part, once the tattoo has scabbed up / started flaking, unless the wound becomes open again, the risk of infection is pretty low.

the lotion is just to help you deal with the itching, if you can deal with the itching and dry skin, then leave it. I put some ointment on mine last night because I was going out, and the way a tattoo looks in the healing phase is kinda gross, cracked, flaky, pieces of dead skin hanging off haha.

the way I look at it is this.
If you get a cut on you arm, and it scabs, do you put lotion on it daily? 99% of the time no, your cut scabs up and you leave it and it heals up.

The only time on a cut or wound that you want to put ointment or whatever is when it happens right away, to stop infection and any bacteria / germs that may have entered…[Read more]

Scabs cracking is inevitable. Too much moisture is what can ruin the healing process. but if you are doing it in small amounts, then you have nothing to worry about

If I was you, I’d apply lotion once a day when it gets itchy, besides that just leave it alone. It looks like it’s healing great.

I got my newest ink on Wednesday, and I haven’t put any lotion, or ointment on it at all.

Depending on the location, maybe get them to tattoo a shield around it, like a knights shield, but get them to tattoo the scar to blend in as a dent in the shield. Or if it’s a line, make it like a slash down a shield or something like that

the line work is good, like buttwheat mentioned, the skin there is very thin and blow outs in that area happen quite easily.
It really doesn’t look horrible. Maybe he or someone else, can fill in around the letter with a colour, like a pink, or an light green. That would bring out the black, but also cover over a lot of the blow out

My artist is a guy named Tom from Solitary Studios in Oshawa. He’s not some big artist that’s world renowned, but he’s a great artist and the service I receive when booking appointments, e-mail updates, etc, is not comparable to any other shop. He’s been tattoo’ing for 10 years now, and he has owned his own shop for 8 years now.

I’d say $400, But also in Canada our shops, around here anyways, don’t charge too much. The most expensive, for probably the best artist in Canada (that I have seen) is $150 an hour. And I’d imagine he could fix that up in under 3 hours.
