Having gotten tradition Japanese tattoos here in Japan by traditional Japanese tattoo artists, I can tell you that there is no definitive direction that koi must swim – upstream or downstream. They are done both ways. So don’t sweat it.
The only major uproar I can see when you mix flowers is that certain flowers, such as Sakura (cherry blossoms) are only around for about 10 days in Spring. So if other types of flowers or leaves are not in the same season, it might be an issue for purists.
Big, big thanks to everyone for putting my worries to rest. I’ll just focus on trying to clear my skin up and I already found a great tattooist. I’m really relieved and happy about this now. Thanks so much!!!
When I’m not logged in, I don’t see my photos in my post. When I’m logged in, they are there.
Anyway, what I’m really getting at with my post is if I’m just being paranoid about the tattoo seeming like its just below the surface or extra easy to rip into my skin. If it’s even a possibility in the history or tattooing or just my paranoia.
I obviously plan to cover it. It’s a disgrace…ha.
