Not by the original artist. However, it is the same artist that did the tattoo on my shoulder.

A competent artist could do it easily enough, but I don’t see that looking any good at all.
Getting it done on may 14th, same artist that did my other tattoo.
Some feedback would be much appreciated.

That’s not better at all. If you want to create a background for it, you can’t keep it so confined within the outer edges of your existing tattoo. Any background would need to flow well AROUND what you already have. I’d say maybe nigh on twice as wide as it is now.
Your main problem is that the Disturbed logo you chose is dreadfully boring, and there really isn’t much you can do with it. Honestly, I’d recommend popping it a couple of times with a laser, and then getting a better Disturbed logo to cover it up, if you’re so inclined.

Yours just doesn’t compare.
im currently waiting on a post to be approved by an admin and I think you may like my new design… however im not sure if an artist can do it or not.
maybe something like this… color in the existing eyes red, leave the teeth skin colored, dark background, and since its on my forearm i could have the hands under instead of on the sides.

A rough background that I did using GIMP 2… what do you guys think?

I can see a background enhancing your tattoo and having it appear more finished.
$60.00 is not much of a deposit, but BEFORE you even talk to an artist? That’s weird. I always thought talk was cheap!
Thats exactly what I’m going for, it definitely feels like its not finished. And yeah, its not the price that was a big deal but the fact that I had to actually pay just to talk to one was ridiculous.

So you want to make it less protruding, but making it bigger and more colorful? Sorry, but no… that does not work.
Na I mean like with a background it’d look more natural and less like somebody just stamped it on there.
Okay so clearly you didn’t read my first post stating that I like the tattoo, so unless you’re going to contribute to my question, stop posting in this thread.
Well I had went to an artist here a few months ago, and I was planning on doing something with the tattoo but they wanted me to put a down payment of $60 before I even talked to an artist. I was kind of hoping that somebody on here could draw me up and example so that I could see how it’d look…. here’s a picture of my tattoo on paper, so now if somebody could put that background behind it so that I could get a better idea, that’d be great!
