I had it done when I was a drug-dealing racist moron of 17…. yeah, I know, real smart. The good news is I have grown up to be reasonably intelligent, not racist, not moronic, and an accountant interested more in world politics than in hooliganism and xenophobia.

Anyway, what I’m rambling on my way to say is that it’s not really “me” any more – and I’d like to get it covered up…. but I really don’t know what sort of design to go for, I have a list of things I don’t like, but no real ideas of what I do. I’ve seen some pictures on here and elsewhere of some cool tribal tats with shading, but I’m not sure if shading would be enough over this?

That list: Not religious, Celtic, Dragons, Foreign Language based (not xenophobia rearing it’s ugly head again, more that I don’t think I should have something like that unless I’ve at least been there and absorbed some of their culture), I do like some Japanese style designs but again with the feeling fraudulent about stealing culture from somewhere I’ve never visited and really know nothing about, bio/mech stuff doesn’t really do it for me either…. ARRGHH

Anyway, if any of you fine people have any ideas of something that could cover that up, I would be very grateful to hear some opinions from the experts.

Oooo, that’s a tough one man. Honestly, I’m not 100% convinced it can be covered up without making a mess of it. If it can be, though, there’s going to be a whole lotta black in the design, and it’s most likely not going to be something you can get picky about. My advice is to find a reputable artist you can go to (because whatever else that tattoo is, it was done very poorly) and see what they can put on you to cover it up–$20 American says if they can it’s gonna be something tribal.

    Love. Peace. Metallica.
