I have just had a roman numeral tattoo of my sons birthday today. An X was put on my arm instead of a V. Can anything be done to change the X to a V. Please tell me it can.
Hi
A picture would really help as it depends on size and placement and room to bolden the tattoo lines.
In theory it should be possible but would mean adding to the bottom part of the x and lengthening the top to make a V.
If you add some extra trellis or scroll work to the letters it will be less noticiable.
You really need a pro but also you may need to thicken the rest of the tattoo as well so it matches.
Take Care

Been trying to upload a pic of my tattoo but unsuccessful.
I went back to the tattooist who made the mistake and asked him what could be done. He oppologised for the error. The only thing he said that can be done is to put the V over the X and tattoo whats left of the X a flesh colour. Will this look shite or shall I just bite the bullet and get it lasered off then start again. The letters are approx an inch big. I also have skin that tans easily will this have any effect on the outcome? Suggestions will be grateful
Hi
Yes first of all get a second and if necessary third opinion from different artists.
You need to find an artist who is experienced in doing reworks and cover-ups before you consider lasering.
Also flesh coloured tattoos are variable at best and can often making a tattoo look worse as it never quite fits in with the rest of the skin.
Good Luck
Matthew
The only thing I can think of is to curl the bottom lines of the ‘x’ into itself, and lengthen the top lines. Like Sherav said, a pic would help, I’d be happy to photoshop something up for you.
