    Hi all,
I’m looking for a second tattoo to remember my son by (not that i will ever forget him!) I am 30, my son died 4 years ago after a 3 year battle with cancer, he was just under 6 years old when he passed away. I want to get something that symbolises how brave he was. I would like to put it on my inner wrist so it will not be too large. I am thinking of things like a lotus flower (or chain of lotus flowers), a heart (maybe purple for the sign of bravery), a dragonfly (sometimes a symbol of life after death). I wouls like to imcorporate his ninto the tattoo somewhere also. What are everyone’s thoughts on these ideas? I have been trawling the net for hours looking for ideas, I see partial images i like but i think i’m going to have to take all my ideas to an artist to have something unique made up.

    Hi Gil

Sorry for your loss – losing family is never easy.

If you are going for a wrist tattoo my advice is keep it simple – you do not have a large area to work with and do not want the tattoo to blur or look too crowded.

All of your ideas are valid but I would ask what one word sums up how you love your son?
If you get that word in your head you will be able to focus more on what you want in memorial to your son.

Personally I like the idea of a dragonfly with coloured wings and stardust trailing from the wings and tail.

They represent beauty and a fast but brilliant life.

    Take Care
