Anybody have any ideas of someone in mythology that would make for a cool looking tattoo? Right now the only ideas I have are Prometheus getting his liver eaten by the eagle or Icarus on fire from the sun. I don’t really remember many of the other story’s from mythology
Yeah I want it to have some sort of meaning or moral to it as well as look cool. One of my friends has Saint Michael and another one has David and Goliath and they both look cool and mean something.
I’m not even sure I’m gonna get one. I like the way my friend’s tattoos look now and I would only get one from the guy that did theirs. I worry about what it will look like when I get old. My friends are like so what you are old.
One of my friends got a pretty detailed drawing of Medusa, it was really cool actually.
Here’s a great site. I used it to research a mythology-based novel (which I unfortunately never completed)

and:
Thumbs up for the Prometheus tattoo! What about Aphrodite rising for a sea of foam?
I personally like “Lilith” because of the story behind her. But you shouldn’t get a tattoo because you want it to look cool you should get one because it means something so deep to you that you are willing to go through an endless amount of pain to have it will you for the rest of your life. I would say wait until you find one that has meaning for you. I mean when ppl ask about it what are you going to say and how will you explain it?
if I were you I would look up the storys and find one that would have some kind of meaning for ya behind it
I’m not to sure what mythology this is from, but Fenris is a character I would look into. When people see a big wolf on your body it will most defiantly draw attention, especially if you include the people tieing him down to the earth. That could stand for confinement, or many other things.
Basically just use your imagination and look up some mythology on wiki, it will help a lot.
when you get older send me a pic so i can laugh at how saggy and wrinkly the tatoo is
