    Hi,

    For some reason when colouring a black tattoo on my arm the ink just did not seem to want to go in. After colouring an area for a while, he wiped away the ink and there was hardly any in my skin. Is this normal? Is there something I can do to make the ink settle properly?

    It’s pretty abnormal for the ink to not go into your skin immediately, if it was going to reject the ink it would do so over the healing process and force it out slowly and take ages to heal up.
    from what you have said leads me to think the artists technique/setup is wrong, i’d try another artist, your skin would not reject the ink as you are saying it has.

    It was my 11th tattoo and I have been tattooed by 5 different artists all with the same effect. All my black tattoos have taken a long time to colour and have gone patchy when healing. The ink just does not seem to stay in my skin.
