I think its good to do a bit of research and see where there are tattoo artists that are hygienic and sterilize their needle before applying the tattoo onto you.
also, make sure the tattoo artist is following the picture you have and wont stuff it up cos tattoos are permanent.
and see if you can get your friends to recommend a good artist to you, for safer results.

well just wait till you’re legal. it shouldn’t be an issue, i mean, you’re almost there now. and besides waiting a little will make sure that the design is really what you want on the long term.. i don’t know the laws for canada though but in the US many artists don’t tattoo underage minors even with parental consent..
