    Hey all,

Today I got my second tattoo, it covers pretty much all of my inner left arm. I’ve removed the saran wrap and splashed it with a little water, then patted dry. I’m noticing now that in certain places some of the coloured ink (blue) has smudged/leaked outside of the bold black outlines. Is this normal during the healing process? Is there a way for me to exclusively clear up the smudges? It’s not drastic so it doesn’t worry me too much, but I think the artwork would look nicer if cleaned up a little.

I would experiment more on my own, but I’m cautious of messing up the tattoo while it’s still healing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Kudos.

Need a picture to be able to say anything at all ๐Ÿ™‚
Don’t experiment, but clean your tattoo properly! Splashing some water does no good. perfume/alcohol free soap and lotion unless you’re dry healing.
But still need a picture ๐Ÿ™‚

    Welcome to the forum!
Without a picture it’s hard to call. However it sounds just like smudges left over from the tattooing process. When you wash it between wrapping, use a scent free soap and rub using only your hand. It should remove the excess ink.

Keep us posted, and send pictures.
