    Hey guys,

My names Noch, and I live in Australia.
I got a 3/4 sleeve and chest piece done in Thailand, Phuket. (the same place as my friend. His looks amazing and turned out well)

This is what it looked like when it was first done.

now it is a week after and it looks like this

Now with the care instructions they only told me to keep it dry and put the antiseptic cream once a day.. when i wake up. I’ve noticed after the scabs falling off the colour of the black as dramatically faded. I havent used any lotions or creams as I wasn’t told not to. I’m a little worried about how this is going to turn out. And I cant exactly fly back out to Thailand to get a free touchup…

Also my parents have NO IDEA what so ever so i have to keep it hidden. The first 3 days it was free and exposed (as i was still in thailand) now I’m at home and i wear loose hoodies around the house to hide the tattoo. I know to let it breathe but will it be okay?

Any advice from now on would be definitely appreciated.

    Welcome to the forum!

    That piece looks nice!

As far as healing, relax, it will take some time, but it should turn out fine.

I’ve had some tattoos that really looked fucked up and took months to heal, but still came out fine.

Yep, just relax. I’ve had tattoos look worse. Don’t worry about putting lotion on it, it’s been so long now that it’s no risk really. Use something free of perfume etc, can also help with itching 🙂
The problem with getting tattooed by an artist you don’t really know much about, is that its hard to tell how its going to heal. Can’t tell you if you’re gonna be losing a lot of color, but it is possible.

Please please please keep your new tattoo out of the Sun. Uv rays are a new tattoos worst enemy. Hope u didn’t expose it to the sun while in Thailand.

Looks perfectly normal to me. It will lose its shiny appearance and go flatter, so it will change from when it was new 🙂

    1. Clean your mirror
    2. Move the fuck out of your parents house
    3. Never expose your new tattoos to the sun
    4. Looks pretty normal to me, there will be a lot of color lose after a scab comes off that should come back after a month or two
    5. Just get your free touch up if it fades

Thank you guys so much for the advice!

and as regard to the sun, I never got out in it. Even if it was sunny I would bring an umbrella everywhere with me. And in Australia I would just cover up with a shirt or jumper so the sun can’t get to it.

You’ve all put my mind at ease, thanks a lot guys!
