[lang=bg]Hey guys, last week I got a small tattoo on the inner side of my finger..And yesterday I’ve notised that there was something off with it..
Here’s how it looks:
It doesn’t hurt, neither is there any sort of heat around that area. But..Sometimes there is this greenish-like mucus coming out of it. ;/ And I know there is sth wrong. The truth is that is little thing is my 8th tattoo (if I can even call sth as that a tattoo) and I know how to take care of them. The trouble is that the guy who did it, did not warn me to wear some sort of gloves in order to keep it dry for at least a week. And I did catch myself washing my hands quite the few times. Currently I’m using an antibiotic cream known as BANEOCIN unguent BANEOCIN unguent – prospecte medicament – PaginaFarmacistilor.ro and I’m wondering if this is the right thing to do..
So how bad is is? :/[/lang]
Stop using that ointment immediately and go see your doctor.
A simple google search of Baneocin found this info: Baneocin ointment is not known to have any contribution towards skin healing. It actually has a negative effect on the skin. Some of these effects include causing extensive severe skin lesions.
Gloves would not be used for a finger tattoo – they would trap moisture in with the new tattoo and could also rub and irritate it.
I just got a heart on the top of my finger 2 weeks ago and washing my hands normally has not been a problem at all – I just make sure to pat it once or twice with a CLEAN towel and then make sure it thoroughly air dries afterwards. And a little lubriderm lotion 3x a day. Healing beautifully.
If your tattoo is a week old and oozing then you should see a doctor for treatment!
[lang=bg]F*ck this shit! I’m so killing that pharmacy girl..She told me this one and Gentamicin are the ones for the job. The problem is that I haven’t brought my documents for the health insurance..I wonder if it will be ok for a day or 2..I’ll get them then and hopefully will be able to visit the doctor. :/[/lang]
Look’s like it need’s to be dry healed for a few days, don’t go with fancy name aftercare products. I use bepanthen for 3-4 days and then dry heal for the rest and i’ve never had a problem with healing any of my tattoo’s.
Wardy is right.
Since it will be a few days before a Dr is an option I would wash it good with soap and water at least 3x a day and dry it carefully. Don’t put anything else on it, let it dry heal. Don’t use hotel cloths or towels on it, they can carry bacteria.
If it is still oozing when you can see a Dr. then see one. If it looks ok then you might not need to.
You really didn’t need that arm for much anyway, did you? (Just kidding.) Hope it clears up nicely for you.
Once it starts to peel I use lotion, like lubriderm or something (unscented), 3x a day after cleaning it. Works well. But Wardy seems to get just as good results without lotion. Of course he is extra manly so he doesn’t need any sissy lotion. (“He don’t need no stinkin’ lotion”)
If your finger falls off you still could be useful to society
