    Hi guys,

    This is my first post, hopefully I can get some answers. I got my cute (11th) new tattoo 10 days ago. It’s in an unusual area (back of thigh under butt cheek) and I’ve found the healing process very difficult. It’s hard to keep it uncovered, hard not to immerse in water and hard not to lie/sit on!

    Over the last few days, the scabbing has gotten very thick and heavy, it’s still very tender and painful and this morning I’ve noticed the colour has changed and it looks terrible. Is my tattoo ruined?

    Welcome to the forum!
    Usually posting photos is not a problem.(you certainly have MY permission!)
    It sounds like you may have an infection or reaction to the ink. I had a reaction to one ink color recently. The scab is thick and my artist has me treating it with Tea Tree Oil several times a day. It is breaking down the thick tissue, but slowly.

    i dont understand why its hard not to keep it immersed? i have both thighs in the same area tattooed and i had no problem. i think immersing it in water could be the first problem but will not be able to tell without pics.
