    So I was wondering what all of you guys think about working out after getting a new tattoo. I really dont remember how long I waited after my first two tats (not as into working out as I am now). My new tattoo is on the outside of my left leg. I am not doing anything except going to work today but I was wondering what you guys think about hitting the gym tommorow. I obviously wont do any leg exercises but what about the elliptical etc? I tried doing a search but as I am new I believe I failed miserably. Thanks for your help guys!

    Hi Cubby

    The thing to watch for is anything that can rub, stretch or put the wound under pressure eg massive contraction of the muscle group. No tight cloth on the area.

    Take a couple of days to recover then light exercise on the area for the next 8-10 days should be healed by then.

    Nothing to stop you exercising but remember that is a wound on your leg.

    Thanks Matthew I appreciate it. I will probably just stick to the upper body for a week or so and just do some light ellipitical etc. Thanks again! I’m pumped for the new ink and I cant wait to finish up my shoulder and half sleeve! I think I am going to plan to do it right before I go away for a week so I wont even have to worry about training! Thanks again!
