Doesn’t sound infected at all. And if it scabbed, then yeah, it’s going to come off eventually. Just be careful and not pick it.
But really, don’t be asking yahoo Answers for help. Each tattoo artist is different and has a different approach to how they want their tats to heal. So it’s hard to say if your followed your artists instructions and if it’s doing what it’s suppose to be doing.

I should add too that Red is a difficult colour to keep vibrant. It’s going to fade a lot quicker than other colours will. So it’s very very possible that it did heal in pink and will need some touch up. Depending on the studio you used of course, that touch up should be at no extra charge if you followed healing instructions.
