Hi all,
I have recently just joined and thought I would say hi. My name is Doug and I am based in the UK. I am currently in the process of starting my own tattoo photographic business and blog.
Not ink’d at moment but when I find a design I am happy with I am going to get it done.
I hope to chat to you all soon.l

Hi and welcome
You thinking of freelancing the work to magazines or primarily a photography for private/public use?
Take care
Matthew

Thank you very much for your email. To start with I am going to do private/public use, but will then go from there. Why? are you a photographer yourself or are you looking to be photographed?
Doug
Nah, he’s just a nosey bastard, ain’t ya Matthew? ๐
Love. Peace. Metallica.
Hi Doug
KH is right I am a nosey bastard :D- I investigate fraud for a living so the nosey factor is always there.
I was asking because I am currently writing a serious tattoo book and and I am slowly making some inroads for contacts with publishing houses and many of them operate on photographic submissions freelance.
I was just wondering if you were in a similar pursuit.
Also the member butterfly kisses is a pro photographer so always the chance to talk shop there.
Take Care
Matthew
Hi there,
Cool, not a problem. Thanks for letting me know about the pro photographer. I am hoping to get some of my photos up soon once I start.
Good Luck with your book. I have read some of your blog and I was impressed if you ever want to do a guest post on my blog I am more than happy to add some link back to your blog. PM me if interested
Thank you for your time and effort. I hope to hear from you soon.

welcome to the forum doug , i just saw your thread .
ring flashes used for macro photography can actually make black and gray tattoos look translucent .
if you have any studio lighting you will get a lot more better results .
search for a batman thread started by me and you can see some recent pics i did of my partners tattoo .
