So yes you read the title correctly I am a tattoo virgin! Hopefully not for long , my itch for the ink is growing too strong!!!
I also finally have the money, ideas, and a good guy a relative is close with ..
Little bit about me and my interests which kind of ties into why I’m here..I’m also very stressed so I figured I would write a nice long post to avoid thinking too much…
Newly turned 25 year old here, Iv grown up around tattoos, and have wanted some since I was god knows how old..but since I was 18 haven’t had the money, or really solid ideas of what to get..
For me I want my tattoos, yes I plan on getting multiple, like I said its something I grew up around..Anyways I want them to be who I am, and what I believe in ..
I’m here because of a few reasons..one while I have the ideas of what kind of stuff I want to get, I’m not sure how to turn them into tattoos if that makes sense ..I’m also not very sure where to start body wise..
I do not drink or do drugs, that is something I very much want to get tattooed, not sure how though..
Some of my beliefs are respect,honor,truth,love,loyalty, overall good morals which also ties into my fascination with the Samurai and the Japanese Culture ..
I love Vampires..not sure why, just always been in love with them, I guess the idea of living forever, and always being kind of a Pariah
Also Love Wolves for the same reason..the idea of being strong and alone..
I also want to do something has to do with family, possibly my last name ?
My birthday was 11/11 , which is also something I would like to tie into a tattoo..
I need to some how get a Mets tattoo on me, I went through a lot of tough times when I was younger and used them as an outlet..
Something to do with Aces, Huge poker player here, love the idea of having Aces up my sleeve ..
I want to get a decent amount of phrases or lettering done as well..something with regret,and a few quotes I like..
Also possibly this one small symbol I like..
Okay my reasoning for mentioning all my ideas is , one I have no idea for some of them how to turn them into tattoos, and I’m not just trying to have random pieces of ink all over me if that makes sense, I kind of want to have two half sleeves done..and maybe my shoulders and back area, I just dont like the idea of having thigns randomly all over the place so I’m really confused..=/
So if someone can help me out with any kinds of ideas of maybe combining some of them , or something, or maybe where to start small kinda thing..I’m lost direction wise, and I confuse my tattoo guy ha ha

Well hello there and welcome to the forum. That’s a lot of information to sift through. What you need to decide is what is most important to you. Your arms are a good place to start. This will not only let you understand your own pain tolerance, but you can also have a good amount of time to think of your other tattoos. A samurai sleeve would be pretty rad. Words generally look best on a guy on the upper back or chest. I hope this got your brain turning a little. Later, I’ll reply with more ideas. That was one of my intial thoughts too,to go with a Samarui design on my arm ..I just have so many random ideas I was thinking about combining some in some sort , I wanted to make the most without going too extreme..
Like just going with half sleeves on my arms, upper back,calves,and possibly wrists ..
Sorry if my post came across as a bunch of dribble , Im confused , I’m sure after I get the first one done it will be easier to follow suit..
But I have a relative who ended up getting a bunch of random tattoos all over, and I;m not a fan of that, and I just wanted to make sure what I ended up doing did not come out like that if that makes any sense:p

Just caught my attention with the themes. I love Japanese culture and have spent a few years studying their art history.
A few ideas that sprang to mind was ;
Samurai at rest – this is a samurai playing a flute next to a pond with a crane flying overhead.
Dragon Blossoms – A Japanese Dragon that is emerging from the blossoms of a cherry tree, very much smoke like affect.
(These were classic painting from the Tang dynasty)
The wolves – there are the classic wolf head howling or maybe have two wolves running in the moonlight (perhaps inner arm).
Vampire hmm … I have seen so many. But one idea that sprang to mind was a ‘blood tears’ A feminine face with cats irises shedding a few drops of blood as tears. Maybe a couple of droplets from the lower lip.
Because you want such a diverse amount I would perhaps consider either proportioning oss sections or trying to get a central theme that would combine all of them.
