I got this tattoo done about 3 years ago, its only a half sleeve, i absolutely love it, its a Dragon that wraps around a skull and there are bats in the invisible space. I am now very interested in continuing my piece further down ” Inner elbow and forearm” for now. Any ideas on what to do? Im stuck with few ideas since it needs to be worked in to go with my theme. any help would be great, Thanks!

I know, thats the problem, there are too many options and i cant figure out what would go well with it, if i should continue the color scheme or do a total change of color/work. Its difficult and i know its my arm and my choice, but the difficult part is coming up with great ideas!
and the other arm is also a half sleeve, a religious side actually, so i have a good/evil theme going on

You could always go for a wind or water demon in Japanese mythology rising up your arm to do battle with the dragon.
That would give a lot of scope for a air and water effect with maybe some lotus flowers, carp and such in the background riding the waves of the demon’s wake.
Pretty much endless what you can do with it.

I have no real answer to your question though (not into oriental tattoos myself) but I have a feeling there are more than a few in this group that ARE into them and can maybe help with ideas.
That being said, I think you’ve already answered yourself. This is your arm, and there are infinite possibilities… it is only you that can choose among them 🙂

Some good ideas you have there. I eventually want to have a complete sleeve and have it wrap to the the top of my chest. I just need to take ideas from the internet and then piece them together how i want them. I just found this site today, im sure it will be great help to me, Thank you!
