Not trying to sound stupid… but my girlfriend went to the dollar store to get some A and D and came back with A and D cream. ingredients are different, but thats because it is a cream rather then the ointment. Do you think it will do the exact same effect?

iv only been tattooing for about 3 months so sorry for the noob-ness.
(getting tattoos for 15 years though)

I hate the way that a&d crap smells .I don’t use that greasy smelly stuff.there are better products to use on a fresh tattoo IMO.

Welcome to the forum!

Stay away from A&D or ANY ointments that contain petroleum!

I use Palmer’s Cocoa butter formula for aftercare, and Redemption for a lubricant during the tattoo process.

Ink used to run out of me when the tattooer used A&D. Now it stays put.
