No I didn’t find it derogatory at all.
As far as why I chose a Lilly for my memorial tattoo is simple. There were white lillies at the funeral so I searched up the meaning behind them. This is what I found:
The White Lilly at Funerals symbolize that the soul of the departed has received restored innocence after death. The words “And We’ll Remember When..” are the last lyrics of the song” Remember When” by Alan Jackson. This song was played at the funeral and it is true, we will always remember the good times and when everything was whole.
