In my personal opinion, text ink always looks unfinished. But… if you add on to it too much, then it won’t keep its appeal. It’s easy to make lettering look bad. You could fill in the bottom half of the gradient with a color. I recommend red. Hope that helps.

“Family” and “One love” are quite warm words, so perhaps you could tuck it in with something? Clouds, fog, decorative lines?
