First off hello! the names Jon and I’m fairy new to the tattoo world in terms giving tattoos. I know it’s frowned apon to be a “kitchen magician” especially buy the industry professionals. However with ebay and several other online sources it’s aloud everyday folks including myself to obtain good quality machines, inks and literature and basically anything else involved in tattooing even picked up an autoclave. That’s not why I’m here though just thought i would be open not pretend to a professional.
I don’t tattoo often I’m not out there trying to give everyone I know a tattoo and am in no hurry to rush into a new carrier in these current economical times. I do it more for myself have done my own foot and my own leg. However when it comes to cleaning tips, grips and tubes I’m always deathly afraid of cross contamination and soak scrub and autoclave more than what I’ve ever seen anyone else. I’m still not satisfied and afraid of spreading disease. So i was wondering what the pro’s take on the disposable tip grip and tube is? Is the weight of the machine thrown off a bit by lack of counter weight from the metal grips and tips? I’ve also run into a lot of rotary machines lately and was wondering how people in the industry felt about them. I see the perks of having the machine be lighter and not wearing out springs. I just don’t no much of anything about them except for magazine adds. Any info or opinions anybody has about disposable tips, grips, tubes and rotary machines would be helpful.
