any advice?
Hi Tejci
White ink is not suitable for a full tattoo it breaks down much faster than most other inks and is tended to eb used for highlights.
Here is an extract from my ebook about white ink
White – This pigment is used as a mixer to lighten other pigments or as a stand-alone colour. One of the main complaints about white tattoo ink is that it often fades rapidly.
There are many ingredients that can be used but the main one to avoid is any made with lead carbonate also known as Mixed white. This is very toxic to the human bloodstream.
Barium Sulphate also known as Barium white is not known to have any significant hazards to the human body.
Titanium dioxide also known as Titanium white is another ingredient, which does not have any significant hazards to the human body.
I woudl advise going for a darker colour or black outline with shade and white highlights.
What are you having done?

perfect explaination once again from matthew, but might i also add that white ink will taint in sunlight and normally turns a yellowy colour after a period of time….
dependant on your skin colour, with the right artist and the correct use of shading normal skin can look white.
take a look in my album there is a face done in blue….. the only white in that piece is highlights on the lips and in the eyes for reflection..
what is the piece you want doing ??
