    im scheduled for my first tattoo tomorrow. i was planning on getting 2 nautical star tattoo’s, 1 above the v cut on either side of the stomach.

    i wanted to get my initials on them, but i was curious about the colors that would make the letters visible instead of the black shading on the nautical star. anybody have any ideas?

    the letters would be black. just trying to figure out what 2 colors i can use for the nautical star.

    was thinking about red/grey or green/orange just cause i like those color schemes. or red/yellow since thats the colors on my native flag (im vietnamese) which do yall think would show better?

    Hi Nik

    First of all do you know how many years it has been since I have seen a V in my stomach – well to many lol
    I am like a mini budda.

    As for colours red and black are popular and stand well against any skin pigment.

    I would advise against green and orange – green is a difficult colour to maintain and can fade rapidly. It is also the hardest colour to shift in tattoo removal.

    Red and yellow would also work well but again be careful of the pigments used in yellow and check for a reputable brand.
