So i have yet to get a tattoo. I’ve thought long and hard about what i want to get for almost two years now, because i want to make sure its what i want. The tattoo ive been thinking about getting is inspired by a song by favorite band, the song title is “black hearts now reign” I generally dont like band tattooes too much, but this one isnt really just a band tattoo. this song and band in general really put into perspective to me the problems our world is facing..blah blah blah. anyway, i need some ideas, ive been thinking forever and i cant come up with much. what i would like is for it to be half a sleeve at the top of my bicep i would like a black heart (an actual heart, not a fake valentine one) i was thinking in the background would maybe have like a mushroom cloud to show chaos and war and possibly under the heart the words “Black Hearts Now Reign” im not too sure about the words or not. I dont know how else to get that sentence across in the tattoo. Any ideas or help with some different symbolism? should i put words or not? any ideas for what else to be in the background? the help would be appreciated.
Maybe have a large black heart with a crown, the mushroom cloud in the background, and some smaller black hearts marching below the “heart king”? Sort of like an old nazi/hitler type deal.
Only thing is I don’t know if you would be able to make the other hearts that small and them not “blob” together as the tattoo ages.
IMO I wouldn’t go with the words, but to each their own.
Hi
Well the designs that comes to mind are;
A pair of bleeding hands cupping the black heart or iron gauntlet squeezing the black heart so blood runs over it.
The mushroom cloud could form the shape of a wispy screaming face and you can have the words in a scroll like effect at the bottom.
Or
Have the heart done being split by a scythe and the words running eitherside of the exposed blade.
Personally I would go for something a bit more cheerful as it is on you for life – but each taste to their own.
Take Care
