    Hi all,

    My and my partner have decided to get engaged and I wanted another tattoo for this .. I went along a romantic theme, (hearts etc) but everything look really generic. I am getting it on the inside of my wrist so it cant be massive, but I am looking for ideas on how i can turn a plain heart into something unique.

    Really depends on what you like style wise.

    I have seen single love hearts;

    Trailing star dust

    Formed the petals of a flower

    Wrapped with ivy trellis that spelt the intials of x

    Bleeding a few droplets of blood

    With horns and tail or a halo or sprouting angel wings

    I have even seen two love hearts melting into each other and looked at first like a cherry on top of an ice cream. The melted part look like strawberry syrup across the icecream.

    I am sure you can put your own twist on it just tae your time.

    A good idea I used to have for a heart tattoo would be a Heart with a Lock in the center and you could get a key tattooed somewhere else on your body if you wanted to, or your husband could, showing your heart was locked until he found the key 😉
