I got my first tattoo, a peace sign, about four years ago and had flowers added on a few months after. I like it but feel like it is incomplete and missing so much. The peace sign is bigger then I thought and the flowers smaller, I want this piece to be very feminine with more flowers all over with lots of color! What do you guys think? I have no clue how to incorporate this large black peace sign into a floral piece I imagine.

For me, I don’t see how that big black peace sign could ever look good inside a delicate floral piece. If I were you I’d get it lasered a few times to make it fainter, and then incorporate if into the bigger piece if you still want it… or just laser it off completely and cover with more flowers.

Yeah I agree completely that’s the issue I’m having = I love my peace sign but it does not fit with what I want to add. Thanks for your opinion! With this big of a black piece how many laser sessions do you think it would take to lighten enough?

“Enough” is such a vague variable, and lasers are so different, that it’s not too easy to say. You first have to decide what you would like to do with this, if you chose to go the laser route.
How much lighter would you want it? Would you want to make it really faint and add some colors to it, or leave it a bit gray, or remove it completely. Once you have that, you can talk to a laser technician and ask them how long it would take. It’s definitely going to be several sessions… I’d guess somewhere between a half-a-dozen and a dozen.
If you’re going to make that into a grand floral piece, I would also recommend you start thinking about it as a whole, what look you want from it, and whether perhaps you should decide on a different tattooist for the job.

I’m very new to the tattoo world with practically zero knowledge, thanks so much for your input! There’s a lot I need to figure out with this piece

    Welcome to the forum!

Before you jump into laser sessions cover all your options.
At first glance I see a lot of space between the flowers and peace sign. There are many plants and flowers in dark colors that could be used to off set the darkness.
Vines with dark green leaves and dark red or purple flowers co mingling with bright flowers such as you have could work.

Do you have any favorite flowers?

You’re quite welcome. Don’t worry about being new. It may be a cliche but everybody’s new some time.

Now that you’ve popped the proverbial tattoo cherry and become addicted, you’re going to develop a taste for one or more style of tattooing. The possibilities are absolutely endless, so keep your eyes open for good ink, and most importantly good artists.

Your only limits are your imagination and your financial status 😉

Love the vines idea and I love roses of any color and Lillie’s particularly but any flower to me is beautiful! Thanks for your input !

Nothing can match the natural beauty of flowers and plant life. (Except perhaps the female body of course)
