    Hi, I am a big fan of the inheritance cycle (book series). And I want to make a related tattoo.

    I want to tattoo this sentence: “Atra du evarínya ono varda” which means “May the stars watch over you”.

    I want to write it as a circle and in the middle of it, have a symbol.

    If it is the Brisingr symbol, I would like to add the Sword Brisingr:

    I had some ideas I made on photoshop… I am not satisfied with it though.

    The sword should be painted… I am just not a good artist so I used a picture.

    Any suggestions for improvement? Which do you like most? Can someone help me draw it? Or maybe just the sword with the brisingr symbol? Or just the sword?

    What do you mean not good? I know the implementation is not good but what about the idea? With the right artist it could be nice. No?

    No, I don’t think that any artist could turn that idea into a good tattoo, sorry.

    The Yawe and Brisingr both are dreadfully ugly as symbols go, and that text would never become anything but an illegible smear of black.

    I’m with Arni here. It’s not going to stand the test of time. Ask an artist who’s familiar with the show to come up with an idea. Email quality artists in your area; throw out some feelers. That’s what I did for my last two tattoos, and I’m very happy.
