    Sometimes 98.5 FM plays the music I like, but it barely comes in (Might be a Sacramento station?)

    Live 105.3 and “107.7 The Bone” is lame most of the time IMHO.

    I like bands like:
    Tool/Perfect Circle–#1
    OldSchool Metallica
    Megadeth
    Pantera
    SoundGarden
    Led Zeppelin (No other Classic rock)
    Some Korn, Manson, etc.

    What’s a good station for new/old music like this in the SF Bay area?

    98.5 is KUFX out of San Jose.

    Try These:
    87.9 – Pirate Cat Radio
    97.3 KLLC – Zrock
    104.5 KFOG – K-Fog Quality Rock
    89.5 KPOO – Community-based
    90.3 KUSF
    90.7 KALX

    Also a good website for live music and events is below, plus you might do a search for “college radio bay area” without the quotes.
