Something that just says “this is what the 50s, 60, and to a certain extent the 70s, rock and roll really was”. Something that represents true rock and roll.
If we stick to just rock n’ roll, and not going into rock, I guess I’d say “Heartbreak Hotel” by Elvis. I’m not much of a true rock n’ roll listener, but that song seems to represent rock n’ roll to me.
But of course, overall, the greatest rock n’ roll song (not defining) for me is “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction” by the Rolling Stones. One of the greatest songs ever.
Led Zeppelin – Rock and roll
loud vocals …guitar roars….killer drum solos
Rock around the clock by Bill Haley and the Comets pretty much started the whole shebang, didn’t it? And it is still a catchy tune, people like it even now.
