I’m thinking more bar-gigs and clubs than big stadium gigs.

I am used to the Brisbane scene (Queensland Australia) which is barely big enough to support one club, but i assume with the bigger population Germany would mean neiche markets like metal are more sustainable, and Germany has a reputation for having a better metal scence?

I’m into everything from old-school to grindcore (except maybe black metal, it’s a bit slow, and a bit too white).

I tend to find the Brisbane scene is pretty tame (i feel safer at metal gigs than other clubs), i hear of some rough shit going on (fights etc.) but i mind my own business and manage to stay out of it, and i’d never go out clubing alone just in case. What’s the gender-ratio like in German metal clubs?

I’m assuming the skin-head thing is an outdated steriotype? (and more common in scandinavia and the USA than Germany these days?)

Are there many bars/clubs who put on good shows with 3-4 semi-professional bands in a night? websites?
