…deserted road….? …somewhere in the middle of the US (desert?). She is then blinded by what appears to be a bright light being shawn at her by a motorist passing in the other direction on the opposite side of the road. She runs the car off the road and cannot get it moving again. A mysterious stranger then comes to her rescue.

I’m afraid I cannot remember any of the actors in this or what happens later in the film but I did remember I was, very much, intrigued by it as it was quite mysterious and Lynchian. The only other detail I remember was that we find out later in the film that it wasn’t a bright light shining in the woman driver’s face but the sun being dazzlingly reflected off the other motorist’s lighter..
