alternatice rock, punk, soft, post-grunge, grunge,… there are so many rock sub-genres.. and i have a hard time labeling songs with the right one.. any advice? also if anyone can define as many rock sub-genres as possible it would be great thanks

i listed led zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, the Doors and groups like that under blues rock on my itunes becase i think bob dylan the beatles and groups like that are classic rock. it’s all about what you think. two people most like wont agree but as long as you can find what your looking for that’s what count.
