Hi. I am a jazz musician and independent record label. I’d like some opinions as to how and what will happen to music…. will it be possible to sell music at all. a) Is the CD toast. ( I think it already is, except radio seems to need the CD ) b) what about 24 bit CD c) what about mp3 sales, say through CD baby or your own website. ( will people actually buy mp3s ) …… . d) do you see recorded music simply being free, with any monies made as perhaps webbased adverstising on free music pages.

e) sorry to be so wordy here and ask 8 questions.. but for example… I’ve jsut released a new CD. nobody bought it, even at the cd release concert. Radio has played two songs, once. I’m wondering if I should just give the album away as free mp3s and call it promotion.

f) do you see any return of/ hope for live music again.
