Well, that’s not something you can actually do. They do that to prevent people from stealing music!
Although you are not able to do that, you can barrow the CD from your friend and put it on your itunes. Then you have it on your itunes and can use the music on your ipod.
If your friend bought it off itunes, they can make you a CD, then you can do the above.
