Just wondering if anyone else has experienced the arrogance of Alice patten at area 51 Basingstoke. I had breast cancer and wanted a tattoo to celebrate getting through it. I booked an appointment with Alice, was told to bring in a £90 deposit in cash, which I did, Alice is so disorganised she thought I was having it done that day and started flapping about not having enough time.when I went for my appointment she tried to tell me I was an hour late, I showed her the appointment card to prove I wasn’t late, she then told me she didn’t have time as it would take her an hour to set up. Pray tell why she wasn’t already set up if she was expecting me an hour before.whilst sorting it out she took 3 calls…. bit rude. She struts around like she’s Kat von d when in reality she hasn’t got 1% of Kats skill….. Alice won’t do colour (more than 4 colours and it confuses her) , she won’t do anything that can’t be photoshopped. I went away and got very pissed off by her attitude and decided to cancel with her, so I went into area 51 to get my deposit back….. area51 told me I had to get it from Alice, so I asked for her number… She doesn’t give it to clients!!!!!!!!! I was told to Facebook her, I told them I don’t do Facebook so they messaged her for me. I also emailed her twice and was ignored, so I phoned area 51 on the weds, Thurs and Fri asking to speak to her. She eventually rang me after the threat of the small claims court, I can only describe her attitude as rude and abusive. I did eventually get my deposit. I now have a lovely butterfly done by an award winning tattooist with a lot more experience and great attitude. Alice has only been tattooing for 3 years but is too up herself to rep,y to messages she has an apprentice to do that. Well all I can say is don’t bother with her if you don’t like being messed around …. She quoted 1 1/2 hours longer than it took for new guy to do it … so looks like she’s slow as well. My advice to Alice is drop the attitude and get over yourself. Probably help your organisation side if you stopped smoking weed during the day.
