So I stupidly scheduled my sleeve to be done a day before I leave to go on a 3 day camping/ATV trip. I’m usually pretty anal about washing my ink for the first few days after. Unfortunately I won’t really have access often to running water on this trip. I don’t think I will cause any major problems, but I thought I’d ask. Think It’ll be fine as long as I keep a good amount of A&D on there?

I would cancel the trip, the tattoo is forever, you can always go atv’ing.

keep it clean, keep it out of the sun,go camping next month.

if you really have to go,maybe you could try some Saniderm

I still wouldn’t risk it.getting hit by branches or brush or whatever would really fucking hurt.

First off, NEVER put much ointment on a tattoo. Especially A&D. It’s petroleum based crap.
Cancel either the tattoo or the atv trip.

I agree. The tattoo is forever. Reschedule one of them.

    Agree with the rest.
I’ve seen people end up with flesh eating bacteria in their tattoos because they were idiots and went into the woods with a fresh tattoo!!
(yes, seriously. No the tattoo didn’t make it)
You need to keep your tattoo clean, dry, away from bacteria and well… You need to not go camping with a fresh tattoo.

Bad us written all over this. Don’t do it! Always use proper healing techniques and don’t smother a fresh wound with anything.
If you are a stubborn cuss and think you might miss getting drunk in the woods with family or friends please use something like Tagaderm and bring washing supplies solely for washing your tattoo sealed in bags.
Please post pics of this train wreck
