Has anyone heard of soap altering the color of a tattoo? I’ve been using a Dial Gold soap bar on my black and grey tattoo since I got it a little over a month ago, and I’m noticing that some of the white highlights are turning a yellowish color, and some of the areas that are supposed to be grey are staying kind of brownish. I don’t remember this happening with my other tattoos, and the only thing I can think of that I’ve done differently is use the gold dial soap instead of the regular white one. I read that this kind of soap was fine, but now I am starting to worry a bit. Is it possible that the dye from the soap could be affecting the tattoo, or am I just thinking about this too much, and this is a normal part of the healing process?

Seems highly unlikely. But I’ve never heard of that soap.
But whenever you get tattooed with white or any light shade, your own skin color is going to cover it and change how it looks. So if you’ve got a darker skintone, the white isn’t gonna look white once it’s healed. Same with grey or any shade, really. A tattoo is places a couple layers into your skin, so your own skin color will affect how it looks. Really hard to tell without a picture.

White turns brown or yellow it’s not the soap.
