    So with it being Autumn here in Colorado and with it being my favorite time of year, I’ve been thinking a lot about my next tattoo. I’ve been looking at autumn inspired tattoos lately on google and would love to get something done. The only problem I see with this is the fact that you can’t really do much in terms of something autumn related, at least I don’t think so besides maybe a tree or the leaves. I’d really like to get something across my back or my chest but I’m still undecided as to what but I want to save those places for later down the road. My one idea was to get a couple of leaves maybe on my shoulders towards my collar bone area. I’ve seen so many cool ideas I’m just so undecided what to do and where to put it. Here are some of the ideas I like right now design wise. Not that I’d be getting the same sort of design, it would be totally custom!

    Any ideas guys and gals?! For those of you who may not know, I already have tattoos on both calves and two half sleeves.

    Maples in the fall are impossibly lovely. I’m obsessed with the movement of the animals as they prepare for winter; I take a lot of walks with my cat: Possums, squirrels, deer, even foxes. You’re not limited to the simple oak leaf by any means.

    I’ve always had an urge to get a little winter tattoo, being born in a blizzard and all.

    My local artist did an amazing fall leaf tattoo for someone else. It is absolutely beautiful. I’ll try to find a picture of it for you for more inspiration, because instead of being laid flat the leaves looked curled. Her site isn’t cooperating with my tablet, so I’ll boot up my semi useless laptop tomorrow and see if I can capture the picture.

    I THINK that I shall never see
    A poem lovely as a tree.

    A tree whose hungry mouth is pressed
    Against the sweet earth’s flowing breast;(enter peterpoose)

    A tree that looks at God all day,
    And lifts her leafy arms to pray;

    A tree that may in summer wear
    A nest of robins in her hair;

    Upon whose bosom(enter peterpoose again) snow has lain;
    Who intimately lives with rain.

    Poems are made by fools like me,
    But only God can make a tree.

    Trees. By Joyce Kilmer (1886-1918)

    I LOVE snow, Christmas, Hanukkah, and an excuse to use fireplaces, but beyond that, I’m with you.

    You know we don’t even get off for snow days? An ambulance comes and gets us. ๐Ÿ™

    Snow days? I don’t get paid holidays! I love Christmas, hate snow over 2″. For me the worst time is when it gets warm, but vegetation is still gray. Once things green up, I’m good to go.

    We had a blizzard in the late 1970’s and the railroad picked you up. Then the bastards wouldn’t take you home!

    1) That is awful.

    2) That is even more awful. If the state declares a state of emergency during a bad blizzard, they come get you. If staff is really short, they basically hold you hostage and stick you in patient rooms since physician quarters are overloaded. I cannot sleep in a freaking hospital room, especially if rooming with a moron.

    The term “snow days” doesn’t exist here. It’s called “7 months of the year”. If everyone got the day off just because of a blizzard we’d never go to work! ๐Ÿ˜›
    You guys should come here during winter. -10F, 6ft of snow and pitch black for months. It’s cozy ^^

    I’ve always loved leaf tattoos. Love the colors of them ๐Ÿ™‚

    I hate winter in general but I do enjoy the Fall, at least around here in Colorado that is!

    I know I’m not limited to JUST leaf designs. I know the possibilities are endless. My other problem would be placement as I stated in my original post. No idea where I would put it! I’m also leaning towards this idea in terms of somewhat of another memorial piece for my late uncle. Fall was basically his favorite time of year as well. Call_me_lola, I am interested in seeing this tattoo your artist did for someone, sounds like it could be awesome!

    You know those lovely giant machines that keep the roads as clear as summer? Sam has them where he lives, too, probably. Well, not in the third poorest county of my state. They clear the highways, and a volunteer rescue squad does the rest. If you’re a regular citizen, good luck. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Hope you keep your phone and electric on.

    Haha, those lovely machines clear out pretty much all roads, including walking streets, a couple times a day during winter here ๐Ÿ™‚ No volunteers needed, the city takes care of all that.
    Well, its impossible to remove ALL the snow, but enough that you can walk on it anyways. Except when it’s been warm and then suddenly everything freezes to death. Black ice + water = terrible driving/walking conditions. Hillarious in UGG boots though, I can just stand all the way down the hill from my house, no need to move a muscle ๐Ÿ˜€
    Phone, electric etc isn’t a problem here, luckily! ๐Ÿ™‚ But then again – Here snow is such a normal part of life, that everything is built to deal with it. Would be ridiculous if it wasn’t! I remember when there was snow in London once when I was there.. Haha, that was hysterical. Everyone freaked out, everything closed and the airports closed. And it was like 2cm of snow. To me, that seemed like complete bullshit, but they were so not prepared for it :p

    Sorry, Mistress, I wasn’t trying to be condescending. I also think that’s a nice tribute.

    And, Pox, I hate you and your stupid machines. :p I was born up north, so I know of these things of which you speak. It’s time for me to go home. ๐Ÿ™

    You’re fine hun. I bring up a time of year I’d like to get tattooed and everyone goes to talking about winter! ๐Ÿ˜›
