    Welcome to the forum!

Tattoo artists charge a wide variety of prices. I’ve had “flat rate” tattoos. I’ve heard of prices from $50.00 per hour up into the thousands.

    1) You’ll have it for life. 2) get a reputable tattoo ARTIST, not a “scratcher” in somebody’s basement or garage. 3) Get a tattoo designed FOR YOU. Don’t buy one “off the rack” or copy somebody else’s. Get one tailor made. It’ll cost more, but you get what you pay for. 4) Don’t forget to tip!

I usually pay $100.00 per hour.

Depends on a lot. Artist, placement, their popularity, etc etc etc. F.ex I live in Norway, and the only artists around here you’re gonna find who work for 100$ an hour, are scratchers. Hell, that’s cheap even for them. I know artists who would charge about 2000$ to do something like that as a full chest piece, with color.

Pain? The best thing I can compare tattoo pain with, in my own experience, is an epilator. (you know, those small machines that rip the hair out of your body) But that’s just how I felt about getting my legs tattooed. Some think chest pieces hurt a shitload, others think its no problem. Most have some issues when you reach the point right in between your collarbones and further down that same spot.

No one on here can really tell you anything about the price or pain, as this is so individual, and all depends on your artist!! But get a good one.
