Hello everyone. I found you guys when I was looking for good information about GREAT tattoos, but kept coming back for the entertainment so I thought that I would finally join in.

Here’s a little info about me:

I didn’t get my first tattoo until I was in my 40’s (and I’m still in my 40’s), and now have a nice little collection of 7. Lucky for me most of them are really good and one is absolutely incredible. I do have one that needs a little fixin’ up, but I’ll be having that worked on pretty soon – and it is the only one that I never see so it doesn’t bother me too much. It is not TERRIBLE, it’s just that the more excellent tattoos I get the worse it looks to me. I am very jealous of some of the amazing pieces that I have seen on some of you guys, but the best tattoo that I have ever seen in real life is on me. I knew it was going to be amazing, but it turned out so so so much better that I had ever imagined. 😀

And here is a little bit of how I think:

There are some great artists out there and if you give them a concept and just let them run with it – WOW!! There is also a lot of crap out there, and I wish that people would LISTEN to and follow the great advice that I see here all the time because there is no reason for people to keep getting crappy tattoos. I know, some people just won’t listen, but I am glad that you guys keep tryin’. Keep it up. Every person that you manage to convince ends up with a better result, and then the money ends up it the right pocket too. And there is a little less ugly in the world.

Have a good day everyone, and it’s great to meet you.

Welcome Lola. I’m glad you see that we (well most of us) are trying to help not just being assholes.

This is the top couple of inches of my peacock, done locally by Teresa at Electro Ladylux. Don’t have a good pic of the whole thing. The pic here blows it up huge, but it is about the top 3 or 4 inches of a decent sized piece.

The only pic I have of my Masquerade Girl is too large a file to upload here. It is fantastic, I took two trips down to Northridge, CA to get it done. But there is a great shot of it on the artist’s website. MDTattooStudio has a thumbnail of it at the top of the page right now. Done by Mike DeVries. Cannot say enough nice things about him!!

I can’t figure out how to post the pic’s in a reply (even after reading the instructions twice), I’ll read them again later and see what I am missing. In the meantime I did create an album with a few pictures in it.

Teresa also did the one with flowers on my forearm. The girliest Van Halen tattoo ever. I know most of you think that there shouldn’t be any script tattoos, but obviously Van Halen lyrics in David Lee Roth’s handwriting would be an exception to that rule – right?

Or about the rest of the people in his shop. A wonderful group of very talented people.

    Welcome to the forum Lola.

You have to post the pic somewhere online, either at an image sharing site (like imageshack or similar), or upload it to your album here on the forums, and then put a link to the picture there in your post.

I think newbies have to have a certain post count before they can post a pic in a thread.
