    Hey guys and girls,
    I’m looking for some half sleeve ideas. I really, really REALLY wanted a polynesian, samoan tribal type like this:

    But i decided against it, since I am not polynesian, or samoan, or anything really close to it. My name is actually of Welsh origin. I thought it would be kinda douche-like to get a tribal like that and not actually be that.

    I like the idea of a pattern, but i’m not opposed to an animal theme, or something of the sorts. A little background on me, I’m very goal driven, ambitious, and I like to be a leader in everything I do. 24 years old. Male. Hockey player.

    Welcome to the forum!

    Welsh, that’s a challange. My wife is of Scottish ancestory and just got a Celtic dragon tattoo with a thistle.
    While tribal designs don’t appeal to me, or many on this form, you know what you’re looking for.
    Just research the fuck out of it before the ink goes on (in).

    I decided against the tribal.

    I have decided to go with a bonsai tree, and maybe a koi. half sleeve. no color. going to the guy on tuesday to discuss!

    Sounds cool! Over the years I’ve worked on many bonsai trees. I’ve never thought of a related tattoo. Koi, not my favorite, but you could combine the two very nicely.
