Hi I am new to the forum.

I am interested in becoming a tattoo artist but I am not sure how to start. I practise my drawing skill lately and I am thinking of buying a tattoo kit I found on ebay.
Here is a link to it LINK REMOVED . Sorry if it is not allowed to put this link here.

It comes with a Training DVD which I believe will be helpfull. I plan to practise a lot with it on fake skin sheets and when I see I start to like the outcome of the work, I will buy autoclave and any stuff needed for sterilization and hygiene. Then to make a tattoo on my self.

My concern is if this kit will help me or if it is a waste of money. Also any advise on how to start are welcome.

First thing is first, talk to local tattoo shops with good artists, and see if you can get an apprenticeship. Second, you probably want to stay away from kits on ebay. Usually not very good quality equipment. The kit doesn’t look too bad, but most quality machines cost anywhere from $200 USD each and up.

So you say this kit is not a good piece to get me started. I am from Greece and I don’t know how things are done in our shops. I have in mind to go to a shop I respect and ask. This kit you believe won’t work for me? Because I wan’t it more to start get started and practise and start some work. If I see that I will achieve what I want I will surely buy something high quality to continue
