    Hey guys,

    I was hoping to get some advice on several points about a new sleeve I wanted to start.

    Point 1) I realize that it takes some time and I wanted to separate it all, but do you think its a wise idea to use different artists for different segments? I mean, I live near ATL, but am going to be in NOLA this weekend on a bachelor party and would like to check out some places there to start off but I wont have all weekend to get what I want done and colored. (BTW, what I want done is a half sleeve almost to my elbow w/ shoulders,chest,and shoulder blade)

    2) If I do go that route , I might want one guy to design the whole thing, so can I pay him for the artwork in New Orleans and bring it back for my other guy to finish in Atlanta? Is there etiquette?

    3) How much does that kind of work cost sans color? with color?

    To be honest unless you know the artists really well i wouldn’t have it done by several as their styles will likely not flow as a singular piece.

    If you are having such a serious piece done I would suggest just not wandering into a studio and saying yep outline this – you want it planning and then fitting so that it is a custom fit to your body. This is a perm addition not a wild w/end pastime 😉

    I would suggest looking up the artists you are interested in and then booking in a series of sessions so that you can get that tattoo perfect.

    That said you can get several artists to do it but it really is a matter of finding artists who can work along a similar theme and style.

    As for whether artists will do it – many prefer to complete what they start. That said if you are paying many artists will happily work on what is already there.

    You are talking around $600+ for that kind of work depends on the artist and exact design.

    my cousin has just started doing a sleeve like that and its looking alright so far.
    he is picking things that are the same sailor jerry style from most places he is going on holiday .
    i like the ones he has got but i would personally plan a sleeve ..

    but he said he is a tattoo collector 😎
