    ok, so ive always wondered…. why does it matter if the lotion used on your tattoo is scented or not? is it because most fragrance is alcohol based, which would sting? or are there other reasons as well?? ive often wondered this

    its more down to the other part of the fragrance which is not alcohol based and is not good to use on damaged skin.

    The alcohol is the good bit which will clean and possibly sting a bit. the various chemicals used to make the fragrances are not normally very good at anything except smelling nice.

    ah, so, scented lotions will just prolong the healing process pretty much?
