ok, i was wondering if these creams and ointments are actually necessary? would it hurt anything just to use some lubriderm lotion and nothing else? i put lotion on my new ink and nothin else…. because im too lazy to go to the store =P is that gonna be fine? cuz im not wanting to go buy any creams or ointments.

Strictly speaking you can go without any creams or lotions on your tattoo.
If you do not use any antiseptic straight after the tattoo you do run a higher risk of infection but can get away with just bathing it.
That said if you do not use anything on your tattoo it is likely to crack, peel painfully, and itch like a maddening bastard until you want to rip the tattoo off.
I have never actually heard of lubriderm lotion (sounds like sex toy :D) but on checking it seems safe to use on tattoos. Just apply as normal and don’t oversoak the tattoo.
