    Hi,

I am new to tattoos, and I’m fiddling with designs to see what I like. I like the idea I have going, I just want to make sure it will look right when I get it done.

Fair warning, this is a first draft, haha. It’s also in pencil and then scanned in, so the quality isn’t great, but what I’m wondering is if the detailed lines will sort of meld together, either right away or after a few years. I’d be willing to go in every once in a while for touch ups and such. I just don’t want it to look like a gray blob when I’m 40. I’m going to fix it and have none of the detail lines touching and probably space them more. Anyways, here it is.

    Thanks for any input.

    Hi

The idea is great but such fine lines will spread in the years to come and may blur the overall tattoo.

My advice is go with the design but thicken the lines so you still get the same idea. Decent shading will make up the rest of the tattoo.

    Take care
    Matthew
